Our 50th Anniversary came on February 13, 2004. To observe the event, we rented a four-bedroom cabin in Sevierville, Tennessee and asked our two sons, Larry and John, to join us with their families. Larry and Debbie flew up from Tampa to Knoxville, where we met them and drove over to the cabin. John, Barbara, Bonnie and Jordan drove down from Farmville, Virginia. We had a quality weekend with all of them. We all went to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede and to the Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge for some fun and food, but mostly we just enjoyed being together for the first time in a long time.
